The Passaic boys soccer team continues to impress, extending their winning streak to 11 games with a string of hard-fought victories. The team came together to defeat Passaic Tech and Clifton in the regular season, showing grit and unity on the field. Their momentum carried into the Passaic County Tournament, where they battled past Kennedy in an intense overtime thriller to advance to the quarterfinals.
At the heart of this run has been junior goalkeeper Kevin Gonzalez-Rodriguez, whose leadership and clutch saves have anchored the defense. Kevin recorded 26 saves on 29 shots across these key matchups, keeping the team in every game and giving his teammates the confidence to push forward.
This week, Kevin is nominated for North Jersey Soccer Player of the Week, and the entire Passaic squad stands behind him. His performance reflects the strength and determination of the whole team — now it’s time to show your support.
