Honoring Ms. Takeiya Wright: Governor’s Educational Specialist of the Year
Ms. Takeiya Wright, a dedicated school counselor for students with IEPs, has made an extraordinary impact on the Passaic community. Her work extends beyond traditional counseling roles, as she also supports the Evening Empowerment Academy—an alternative school placement for struggling students—and the early college program in partnership with Passaic County Community College.
Ms. Wright is a key contributor to the Restorative Violence, Intervention, and Prevention program, mentoring gang-involved and at-risk youth. She tirelessly advocates for children, providing essential resources and guidance to help them overcome challenges. What sets Ms. Wright apart is not only the breadth of her involvement but also the depth of her dedication to the students and families of PHS. The Passaic High School community is profoundly grateful for her unwavering commitment and contributions.
Honoring Ms. Kimberly Fuller: Governor’s Educator of the Year
Ms. Kimberly Fuller has served PHS with distinction for 28 years as a Business Teacher, creating meaningful and enriching experiences for her students. Her dedication often extends beyond the classroom, as she frequently mentors students during lunch and planning periods. As the sponsor of the DECA program, she has led her students to the National competition for two consecutive years, showcasing her commitment to their success.
Ms. Fuller is also a valued member of the BEST Team, volunteering with the local food pantry and modeling a deep commitment to community service. Her leadership shines through in organizing major school events such as the Pep Rally, Homecoming, and Freshman Orientation, fostering a sense of school spirit and unity. Her countless acts of kindness, often performed without expectation of recognition, make her a pillar of the PHS community. The school is honored to celebrate her exceptional career and profound contributions.
