PHS students from the Video Production, Business, and Music Tech pathways were busy networking in the executive suites of MetLife Stadium this past Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Joined by peers from Prep, our PHS crew got an “all-access pass” to the 2026 New York Jets Sports Business Day. The event wasn’t about touchdowns or field goals—it was about the high-stakes hustle that happens off the turf.
More Than Just a Game
The day kicked off with a deep dive into the business engine that powers an NFL franchise.
- Marketing & Sales: The art of filling a 82,500-seat stadium.
- Social Media & Content Creation: How to keep millions of fans engaged 24/7.
- Data Analytics: Using numbers to predict the next big move.
For our Video Production, Business, and Music Tech students, seeing how their classroom skills translate to a multi-billion dollar sports brand was a total game-changer.
VIP Access: Backstage at MetLife
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the behind-the-scenes tour. Students got a rare look at the Jets’ locker room (minus the pads and sweat) and the ultra-exclusive Commissioner’s Club. Walking through the luxury suites gave everyone a taste of the “pro life” and the sheer scale of stadium operations.
This wasn’t just a field trip; it was a blueprint for our future media moguls and sports execs. Whether they end up behind a camera or in a boardroom, these PHS students now know exactly what it takes to make it in the big leagues.
